I'm a software engineer who spends 6–8 hours a day at a keyboard, and I got tired of gear reviews written by people who clearly unboxed a product, took a photo, and moved on. Dev Gear Reviews exists to answer one question honestly: is this worth putting on a developer's desk?

How we test

Every product on this site is used for real work — actual coding sessions, actual deploys, actual 2am debugging — for at least two weeks before we write anything. We track things that matter to developers specifically: how a keyboard's switches hold up over long typing sessions, whether a monitor's text rendering stays sharp at your OS scaling settings, whether a mouse causes wrist fatigue during long refactors.
